Andrew Moskowitz

Ph.D., psychologist and university professor, played a leading role in all previous Kristiansand Trauma, Dissociation and Psychosis conferences, as he will in this one. He is one of the world authorities on the relationship between trauma, dissociation and psychosis, having published extensively in this area. He was the primary force and lead editor of the influential book Psychosis, Trauma and Dissociation (Wiley, 2008, 2019) and is the former president of the European Society for Trauma and Dissociation (ESTD), as well as a former executive board member of the International Society for Psychological and Social Approaches to the Psychoses (ISPS). Dr. Moskowitz also helped to develop the new ICD-11 Dissociative Disorder diagnoses for the World Health Organization. Over the past 25 years, he has taught psychologists and medical students in universities in New Zealand and Europe and is currently the program director for the George Washington University Forensic Psychology Master’s program in Washington, DC.

Martin Dorahy

PhD, DClinPsych, is a clinical psychologist and professor in the Department of Psychology, University of Canterbury, Christchurch, New Zealand. He has a clinical, research and theoretical interest in complex trauma, dissociative disorders and self-conscious emotions (e.g., shame). He has published peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters, and co-edited five books in the area of psychotraumatology, including Psychosis, Trauma and Dissociation: Evolving Perspectives on Severe Psychopathology (with Andrew Moskowitz and Ingo Schafer), and most recently, Dissociation and the Dissociative Disorder: Past, Present, Future, 2nd Ed (with Steve Gold and John O’Neil; 2023). He is a member of the New Zealand College of Clinical Psychologists, New Zealand Psychological Society, and the New Zealand Association of Psychotherapists. He is a Fellow and Past President of the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation (ISSTD). He maintains a clinical practice, focused primarily on the adult sequelae of childhood relational trauma. He enjoys snow skiing and mountain biking.

Ellert R.S. Nijenhuis

Ph.D., is a psychologist, researcher and former psychotherapist. He engaged in the diagnosis and treatment of severely traumatized patients for more than three decades, and teaches and writes extensively on the themes of trauma-related dissociation and dissociative disorders. He initiated and continues to be engaged in the biopsychological study of complex dissociative disorders. Together with his daughter, he runs the eAcademy on trauma and dissociation (www.enijenhuis.nl). His publications include the book Somatoform Dissociation (Norton, New York). With Onno van der Hart and Kathy Steele he co-authored the book The Haunted Self: Structural Dissociation and the Treatment of Chronic Traumatization (Norton, New York). The first two volumes of Nijenhuis’ trilogy The Trinity of Trauma: Ignorance, Fragility, and Control (Vandenhoeck & Ruprecht, Göttingen) appeared in 2015. The third volume, Enactive Trauma Therapy, was released in april 2017. Nijenhuis has been one of the founders of the ESTD. The International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation granted him several awards, including the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Dr Eleanor Longden

A Postdoctoral Service User Research Manager at the Psychosis Research Unit at Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (GMMH), honorary research fellow at the University of Manchester, and co-director of GMMH’s Complex Trauma and Resilience Research Unit. Throughout her career, Dr Longden has drawn on her own experiences of recovery from trauma and psychosis to promote person-centred approaches to complex mental health problems that emphasise the lived experience and expertise of service-users. Her research focusses on the relationship between dissociation, trauma, and voice-hearing, and she has lectured and published internationally on these issues.

Giovanni Stanghellini

MD and Dr. Phil. honoris causa, psychiatrist, is professor of Dynamic Psychology at Florence University (Italy) and Profesor Adjuncto “D. Portales” University (Santiago, Chile). He chairs the International Network for Philosophy and Psychiatry (with K.W.M. Fulford and J.Z. Sadler). He authored more than 170 Scopus publications on the clinical phenomenology of schizophrenia, major depression, eating disorders and on the phenomenological basis of psychotherapeutic care. Among his books in English: Nature and Narrative (co-edited with K.W.M. Fulford, K. Morris and J.Z. Sadler, Oxford University Press 2003), Disembodied Spirits and Deanimated Bodies. The Psychopathology of Common Sense (OUP 2004), Emotions and Personhood (with R. Rosfort, OUP 2013), One Hundred Years of Karl Jaspers’ General Psychopathology (co-edited with T. Akiah A. Ottesen

Psykologspesialist (PhD) og har vært opptatt av å tilby god hjelp til mennesker med samtidig psykose og traumeerfaringer gjennom både sin praksis og som forsker. Hun har skrevet om overlappende symptomer og differensialdiagnostikk fra et klinisk perspektiv, og parallelt arbeidet med å forske på sammenhenger mellom barndomstraumer, psykosesymptomer og utfall. Dette har gitt henne anledning til å undervise bredt om temaet og dermed få verdifullt innspill fra engasjerte klinikere. Som terapeut har hun vært opptatt av å tilby traumebehandling til mennesker med samtidig psykose, og å forholde seg pragmatisk til dette målet innenfor kliniske rammer. Hun har vært med på å opprette et nasjonalt nettverk for traume og psykose i Norge, og er for tiden engasjert på OUS for å implementere og forske på dette i klinikken, og tilbyr behandling på traumesenteret ved Psykologvirke AS.

Sjur S. Sætren

har sin utdannelse som psykolog fra Københavns Universitet. Han er for tiden ansatt ved Stavanger Universitetssykehus (SUS) samt ved det Nasjonale Kunnskapssenteret for Vold og Traumatisk Stress (NKVTS). Som en del av forskningsgruppen TIPS ved SUS, fokuserer hans forskning på forbindelsen mellom barndomsbelastninger og psykoseutvikling. Her har han også gjennomgått hvordan barndomsbelastninger er undersøkt i psykoseforskning det siste tiåret. Videre deltar han i arbeidet med Ungdomsundersøkelsen om erfaringer med vold og overgrep (UEVO-studien), hvor han analyserer risikofaktorer og de intrikate mekanismene bak utsatthet for diverse vold- og overgrepserfaringer. Med interesse innenfor utviklingspsykopatologi har Sætren publisert en rekke vitenskapelige publikasjoner som adresserer temaer som barndomsbelastninger, emosjonsregulering, og deres assosiasjon med psykiske lidelser. Klinisk engasjerer han seg spesifikt i langtidsoppfølging av pasienter i aldersgruppen barn til unge voksne som har sammensatte psykiske helseutfordringer og komplekse traumatiske belastninger.

Arne Blindheim

Spesialist i klinisk psykologi, og arbeider ved Klinikk for krisepsykologi i Bergen. De siste 25 årene har han arbeidet nesten utelukkende med traumatiserte pasienter. Han har gjennomgått opplæring av Ellert Nijenhuis i Nederland for arbeid med kronisk traumatisering, og har en utdanning i traumebehandling ved hjelp av sensorimotorisk psykoterapi fra England. Han er også godkjent EMDR-veileder. Han har jobbet mye for å spre kompetanse om arbeid med traumatiserte mennesker gjennom undervisning og kurs, gjennom veiledning av psykologer og annet helsepersonell både i Bergen og ved ulike institusjoner i Norge, samt arrangering av kurs med internasjonale kapasiteter. Han arbeider også for å spre kunnskap om traumatisering utover i Europa, og har i flere år sittet i styret i European Society for Trauma and Dissociation (ESTD). Han er utnevnt til mentor i ESTD på grunnlag av hans kompetanse og bidrag til feltet. Han har arrangert de fleste kursene Ellert Nijenhuis har hatt i Norge siden 2006, og er med i en europeisk «Kernal Group» for behandlere som underviser i Enactive Trauma Therapy. Han er også en av initiativtakerne til den internasjonale konferansen «Trauma, dissociation and psychosis» som har blitt arrangert annet hvert år i Kristiansand.

Ingunn Holbæk

Psykologspesialist som har jobbet med forståelse og behandling av traumelidelser generelt og dissosiasjon spesielt i 20 år.  Hun startet Traumepoliklinikken til Modum Bad i Oslo i 2008 og var leder i mange år. Hun har jobbet med pasienter både på døgnavdeling og i poliklinikk, individuelt og i gruppe. Hun har et spesielt stort hjerte for å utvikle bedre forståelse og behandling for personer med en dissosiativ lidelse. Hun underviser både nasjonalt og internasjonalt og har skrevet flere kapitler i bøker om traumebehandling. Hun tar nå en doktorgrad i behandling av dissosiative lidelser, og vil presentere noen av funnene fra sin forskning om endringsfaktorer i dissosiative lidelser.

Nina Mørkved

Psykologspesialist ved Mosjøen DPS, Helgelandssykehuset, og Førsteamanuensis, PhD, ved Institutt for Psykologi, UIT. Lang klinisk erfaring knyttet til klinisk arbeid med traumer, og forsker på betydningen av barndomstraumer ved alvorlige psykiske lidelser, inkludert traumebehandling for pasienter med psykoselidelser. Mørkved skal forelese om betydningen av barndomstraumer på tvers av psykiske vansker, og hvordan kunnskap om tidlige traumer kan ha implikasjoner for klinisk praksis og forståelsen av diagnoser.
